Title: kpe (Klatt Parameter Editor)
Version: unknown version
Entered-date: 11MAR96
Description: This program provides a graphical interface for the
implementation of the Klatt 1980 formant synthesiser
written by Jon Iles (j.p.iles@cs.bham.ac.uk) and Nick
Ing-Simmons (nicki@lobby.ti.com).
It was inspired by IGE, a piece of code written by Rob
Fletcher: http://www.york.ac.uk/~rpf1/IGE.html
It includes routines from SFS (the Speech Filing System,
available from UCL), predominantly written by Mark
Huckvale at UCL.
The comprises an X-Window interface written using the
SUIT toolkit and version 3.03 of the synthesiser code.
The interface allows users to display and edit Klatt
parameters using a graphical display which includes the
time-amplitude waveform of both the original speech and
its synthetic copy, and some signal analysis facilities.
